This is a slowly growing film festival that takes place in February in Parramatta. Parramatta Pride Picnic

For over a decade, Parramatta has been hosting an annual Pride Picnic to celebrate the LGBT community. As part of the NAIDOC Week celebrations, Parramatta hosts the Burramatta Family Day to celebrate the positive cultural influences of the Torres Strait Islander and Aboriginal cultures in the modern community. Activities include dance, live music, roving entertainment, kids’ workshops, walking tours, and themed food stalls just to mention a few.

Christmas in Parramatta

Just like many other Australian towns and cities, the residents of Parramatta welcome the festive season in style through Christmas in Parramatta. Held in late November, the event transforms Parramatta’s downtown area into a beautiful spectacle of shinning lights. Apart from lighting the Parramatta Town Hall and Christmas tree, the people also enjoy a Christmas concert, gift shopping and lots of other fun activities and things to do in Parramatta.
